Taking His Glorious Purpose in Stride
We've arrived - and while the bracket did take some unexpected turns, I think we've all had a good idea of how things were going to shake down.
Before we congratulate the winner, let's recognize the delightful Colin Firth.
Mr. Darcy, while you didn't take top honors, I think we can safely say you are still above number two in our hearts. Mr. Firth, thanks for being the worthy embodiment of so many fictional crushes.
Now. Tom Hiddleston. Tahhhhhhmmmm Hiddleston.
Is it even fair? It this real life?
Honest talk: Where did this guy come from? I mean, I know that I first saw him in War Horse or Thor (or whatever I saw first on DVD) farther back than I would probably guess, but it seems like I was completely unfamiliar and then everything was LOKI all the time. I'm not complaining, but...whew.
Congratulations, Tom Hiddleston, for being the First Annual winner of THE RIGHT MANS challenge; thank you for your entertaining career and impeccable suits so far. And thanks to PBS for the most spectacular fan trolling in the history of media.

Well, this is awkward...
Roughly 45 minutes after compiling the final bracket list, I texted Haley that we forgot James McAvoy. I think that I had this realization after running across the gif above. Our extreme bad.
We were very, very close to shutting everything down and starting over, but decided instead to recognize him with this Honorable Mention. Thanks, Macca, Jr., for everything - especially your recent press tour bromance** with Michael Fassbender.
