Recasting Twilight

I love mentally recasting things… on today's schedule is the upcoming movie Twilight. First off, please don’t comment on the actual Twilight books past the first one, because we haven’t finished them all yet. Unfortunately, this one has a lot of space/time continuum exceptions, because (and it’s probably a good thing), Natalie and I aren’t all that knowledgeable of the current teen acting population, barring Hannah Montana and the cast of High School Musical (and I’m totally speaking for myself on HSM, Natalie has not seen them).

I do give away some details of the book just trying to explain our choices, so if that’s going to bother you, don’t read this…

The First was Jurassic Park

This morning, Ryan and I chatted about music. First, he rebuked my playlist, which I defended as being for a specific time and purpose (time: as long as I can stand to listen to those songs; purpose: short (2-5 mi) walks) and therefore not able to be held to the common standards of music judgment. He has his own playlist, which you can find here.

He mentioned that he would love to be in charge of putting together a soundtrack for a movie (source music, I'm supposing, not score). I said that having that job could be good or bad…and I have two examples to support this, although with them, the directors/ultimate filming creative decision-makers were also responsible for the soundtrack, so that might factor into the problem.

The Best of 2007

I thought this was my first time making tBo, but it turns out I made them in 2005. Interesting. I wonder what was on those? This list is in the order given to my the iTunes playlist exporter - I don't even think I have these CDs to know what order the songs were in originally. I also can't find my jpgs of the cover art, but I'll add them if I come across them...

Here's what made the cut for 2007:
